Senior Engineer, Thermal Hydraulics

Job Summary

Supporting verification and validation activities, the contract Senior Engineer, Plant Thermal Hydraulics Validations will perform thermal-hydraulic simulations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams remotely to ensure model accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct system-level steady-state and transient thermal-hydraulic simulations to evaluate model behavior and limitations
• Interpret experimental data to support model validation and define test requirements in collaboration with test engineering teams
• Document validation methodologies, results, and uncertainty analyses for internal processes and regulatory submissions

Required qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience
• Experience in system-level thermal hydraulic analysis and code assessment for nuclear or complex energy systems
• Hands-on experience with experimental thermal hydraulic data and system analysis tools (e.g., RELAP5 3D, TRACE)
• Strong foundation in thermal-fluid and reactor system behavior considerations relevant to advanced reactor designs
• Familiarity with SQA and NQA 1 quality assurance practices for modeling workflows is preferred
