Senior Engineering Consultant
Job Summary
To support modernization projects within the Life & Annuity Systems Technology team, the full-time Senior Engineering Consultant will lead application development efforts, mentor fellow developers, and ensure reliable operations of business applications with remote and onsite flexibility.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of business application support, resolving complex production issues promptly
- Lead modernization initiatives, including application rationalization and AWS migration
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to fellow developers, fostering team growth
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in application development, ideally 8+ years
- Advanced Java development skills with expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
- Proficient in REST and SOAP APIs, SQL Server, and batch job design
- Demonstrated experience in data validation, mocking, and unit/integration testing
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to mentor and lead within teams
