Senior Engineering Director

Job Summary

Managing multiple teams, the full-time Senior Engineering Director will influence cross-technical and business decisions, align engineering efforts with company goals, and drive process improvements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Align engineering teams with the product roadmap by collaborating with product leadership and identifying dependencies
• Provide technical direction for architectural decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and optimized
• Drive proactive resolution of high-priority technical issues and manage technical risks, including disaster recovery plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in scaling distributed systems and cloud-based platforms
• Experience with AWS technologies, Kubernetes, and programming languages including Python, Ruby, and Node
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, DevOps, and compliance best practices
• Familiarity with databases such as Postgres, DynamoDB, and MySQL, as well as tools like Datadog and Docker
