Senior Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The full-time Senior Engineering Manager will lead the Foundations team in a remote capacity, overseeing the development and scaling of core technical infrastructure while managing a diverse group of engineers across mobile, web, and backend domains.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of around eight engineers, focusing on core platform and infrastructure development
• Drive key priorities including GraphQL implementation and performance improvements of core systems
• Balance product demands with the need to scale and rewrite core systems, making high-quality technical decisions

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams across multiple domains (mobile, web, backend)
• Deep technical expertise with a strong background in system design and scaling
• Ability to manage a diverse, multi-threaded portfolio and make clear trade-offs among competing priorities
• Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders on technical direction
• Experience managing distributed teams with a focus on empathy and development
