Senior Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The full-time Senior Engineering Manager will lead the Mobile Apps team in building patient-facing experiences for EEG headbands and wearables, managing a team of engineers and a product manager while ensuring high-quality mobile applications in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of engineers and a product manager, providing coaching and guidance on technical and professional challenges
• Own the technical direction for React Native apps and native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) SDKs, making architectural tradeoffs and staying updated on platform advancements
• Drive a clear, outcome-oriented roadmap aligned with company objectives and manage project timelines while keeping stakeholders informed

Required qualifications

• Proven experience managing mid-sized mobile or consumer-facing engineering teams with demonstrated leadership impact on team health and product outcomes
• Strong mobile engineering knowledge to guide architectural decisions across React Native, Swift, and Kotlin, including hardware-related concerns
• Experience navigating ambiguity and cross-functional complexity while maintaining team momentum and morale
• Familiarity with operating in a regulated industry and understanding of design controls and quality frameworks is a strong plus
• Track record of supporting the career development of direct reports and hiring strong talent
