Job Summary

To support the growth and engineering health of a dedicated team, the full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager will oversee talent development, drive engineering quality, and provide technical judgment for solutions in a WordPress-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team growth and morale through structured reviews and individual development plans while actively participating in hiring and training initiatives
• Ensure high engineering quality by owning code-quality metrics, driving continuous improvement, and championing engineering standards
• Contribute to technical estimation and solution design, acting as the technical voice in pre-sales discussions and shaping proposals

Required qualifications

• 8-12 years of engineering experience with a proven record of leading engineering teams
• Deep expertise in enterprise WordPress, including themes, plugins, and core internals
• Experience in managing engineering quality metrics and technical estimation processes
• Strong mentoring skills with a focus on hiring and training
• Adaptability to evaluate and learn new technologies as the publishing landscape evolves
