Senior Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The full-time Senior Engineering Manager will lead the Data Processing Platform team in transforming pentest data processing from a batch system to a real-time, event-driven microservice architecture, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of backend and platform engineers to migrate post-op processing to a real-time architecture
• Collaborate with Product and adjacent teams to ensure continuous delivery of customer value during the rework
• Shape the technical direction of the team, focusing on event streaming, stream processing, and operational excellence

Required qualifications

• Experience managing backend, data, or platform engineering teams with a proven track record of successful project delivery
• Strong fundamentals in backend and distributed systems, including data modeling and API design
• Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and observability tools like Datadog
• Ability to lead through technical ambiguity and facilitate design discussions
• Clear written communication skills for creating roadmaps, design documents, and postmortems
