Senior Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager will lead a team of backend, frontend, and QA engineers in developing a shipper-facing TMS product, collaborating with Product and tech leads to set technical direction, manage delivery, and foster team growth while remaining hands-on with architecture and code quality decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution and delivery of projects by collaborating with Product to define requirements and track team health throughout the SDLC
• Set a technical vision and roadmap for the team, addressing tech debt and ensuring engineering quality standards are met
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and oversee hiring and onboarding to support team development and improve engineer velocity

Required qualifications

• Advanced-level English skills, especially in speaking and writing
• At least 3 years of experience managing a team of 5-15 engineers across various technologies
• Demonstrated experience in Lean/Agile management practices
• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years as a Senior Engineer in Java/Spring or a comparable backend stack
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large projects in the past 3 years
