Senior Engineering Manager
Job Summary
The full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager will lead the Control Planes & Ecosystem Group, driving strategy and execution for customer-facing control plane experiences, including Crossplane and Upbound Marketplace, while managing multiple high-performing engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term vision for hosted control planes and ecosystem extensibility
- Own the strategy for Upbound Marketplace, ensuring cohesive control plane experiences
- Lead and scale engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership and innovation
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including leading managers of managers
- 5+ years building or scaling cloud-native, infrastructure, or platform engineering products
- Deep familiarity with Kubernetes and the Cloud Native ecosystem
- Experience building SaaS control planes or distributed systems at scale
- Proven experience growing ecosystem-driven products such as marketplaces or integrations
