Senior Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a senior team of engineers remotely, the full-time salaried Senior Engineering Manager will oversee the development and maintenance of 35+ open-source SDKs, guiding technical tradeoffs and ensuring operational excellence in release quality and incident response.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of senior engineers, providing coaching and career growth opportunities
- Own prioritization and intake for the SDK portfolio, balancing feature work, maintenance, and customer escalations
- Partner with Product Management to define and deliver the SDK and Relay Proxy roadmap
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a formal engineering management role, including managing senior engineers
- Experience leading teams that build developer-facing software, such as SDKs or public APIs
- Working familiarity with several programming languages and ecosystems
- Proven ability to prioritize across multiple stakeholders and translate business goals into engineering plans
- Track record of coaching and developing senior engineers, including performance management and mentorship
