Senior Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team of experienced software engineers, the full-time Senior Engineering Manager will oversee the release process for the Government Cloud platform, manage release strategies, and drive team growth in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the release process, including planning, versioning strategy, and go/no-go decisions
- Manage and develop a team of 10-15 software engineers, setting expectations and fostering career growth
- Define and execute a multi-quarter roadmap to reduce release risk and improve cycle time
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in managing software engineering teams and release processes
- Strong understanding of compliance and audit requirements such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, and automated release strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Experience in driving strategic initiatives and managing complex projects
