Job Summary

The full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager, AI will lead engineering execution and people management for the Thunderbolt initiative, focusing on transitioning the product from R&D to a production-ready state while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution by clarifying priorities, timelines, and quality expectations
• Manage and develop engineers and contractors through coaching and performance support
• Contribute to the codebase and evaluate technical work to maintain momentum and quality

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software development experience, including senior engineering leadership roles
• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams with senior engineers or senior individual contributors
• Proven track record of delivering polished, top-tier products
• Technical fluency with AI-enabled products and experience with complex applications across multiple platforms
• Experience improving engineering practices related to planning, code review, and release readiness
