Senior Engineering Manager, SRE

Job Summary

To establish and lead the Site Reliability function, the full-time Senior Engineering Manager, SRE will build a team, professionalize incident management, and drive engineering excellence in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, defining incident management processes and tools
• Drive a culture of engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and blameless retrospectives
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing engineers while balancing incident response with strategic initiatives

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading and growing SRE or Infrastructure teams, including incident management processes
• Hands-on experience with observability tools and major cloud provider infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Experience in creating clear process documentation and providing training on incident management
• Proven ability to hire and retain high-performing engineers in remote environments
• Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences
