Senior ERISA Attorney

Job Summary

Providing leadership in technical regulatory and compliance services, the full-time Senior ERISA Attorney will manage complex retirement plan matters for clients, review plan documents, and advise on fiduciary training while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide plan design advice and review plan documents, amendments, and communications
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions, nondiscrimination testing, and fiduciary governance procedures
• Lead the Legal Team, overseeing staff work product and conducting legal research on developments of significance

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active membership in a state bar as an ERISA Attorney
• Minimum of 15 years of experience as an ERISA attorney with extensive knowledge of DOL, IRS, FINRA, and SEC regulations
• Proven ability to manage and mentor legal staff while interfacing with senior leadership
• Experience in delivering training sessions on legislative and regulatory developments
• Strong background in retirement plan issues and legal compliance for both private and public sector entities
