Senior Exception Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Scenario and Exception Underwriter to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews and responds to scenario and exception requests within agreed upon SLA, communicating with clients as needed
• Analyzes and documents various loan scenarios, including mortgage applications and credit history
• Approves, declines, or refers scenarios and exceptions within assigned authority while maintaining accurate records

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of five years' experience underwriting non-Agency loans
• Manual underwriting experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in alternative non-Agency income analysis and appraisal evaluations
• Thorough understanding of credit risk and complex loan transactions
