Senior Excess Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter (Excess).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance applications to determine acceptance or decline based on underwriting guidelines
• Approve or decline applications and issue coverage, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations
• Collaborate with the underwriting team and cultivate relationships with producers to achieve production goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 5 years of underwriting or related insurance experience required
• Commercial casualty underwriting experience including excess
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software quickly
