Senior Excess Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter (Excess).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate applications for excess insurance, determining acceptance or decline based on underwriting guidelines
• Approve or decline insurance applications within limits and prepare referrals for higher risks
• Collaborate with the underwriting team and maintain compliance with industry regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 5 years of underwriting or related insurance experience required
• Experience underwriting risk in construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing
• Experience underwriting excess risk strongly preferred
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus
