Senior Exchange Engineer

Job Summary

Leading enterprise-level migrations to a hybrid Exchange environment, the contract Senior Exchange Engineer will work remotely to design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 and Office 365 solutions, focusing on mailbox migrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Exchange Hybrid deployments between on-premises Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online
• Plan and execute mailbox migrations with minimal downtime while managing and optimizing mail flow
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and perform system health checks and capacity planning

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in Microsoft Exchange (2013/2016/2019)
• 3+ years of experience implementing Exchange Hybrid environments and working with Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
• Proven experience with Exchange 2019 to Exchange Online migrations and Azure AD Connect configuration
• Strong knowledge of SMTP, DNS, Autodiscover, and mail routing concepts
• Experience implementing SSO solutions using AD FS or Azure AD authentication methods
