Senior Federal Accounting Consultant

Job Summary

Supporting federal financial management operations, the full-time Senior Federal Accounting Consultant will conduct research and analysis, prepare financial statements, and provide technical accounting guidance, with the flexibility to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and general ledger accounting, including the preparation of federal financial statements
• Verify the accuracy and validity of various accounting transactions and maintain subsidiary ledgers through reconciliations
• Develop and present briefing materials and recommendations to improve financial management practices and address audit findings

Required qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance
• Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of additional professional experience in lieu of a degree
• Four (4) years of experience in accounting or financial management
• Expertise in conducting studies and analyzing findings related to management improvement and operational efficiency
• Experience developing guidance on management techniques and analyzing proposed reorganizations or realignments of functions
