Senior Federal Classification Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Executive Office for United States Attorneys, the full-time remote Senior Federal Classification Specialist will prepare and evaluate position descriptions, apply OPM classification standards, and provide technical classification advisory services to supervisors and managers across EOUSA and the USAOs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review position descriptions based on various information sources, including current descriptions and organizational charts
• Evaluate existing position descriptions using OPM classification standards to determine appropriate titles, series, and grades
• Provide technical classification assistance to management on position management and job content options

Required qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of Federal Government experience writing position descriptions and providing position management advisory services
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier-4 Public Trust background investigation
• U.S. Citizenship required
