Job Summary
Providing expert-level support for NASA travel programs, the full-time Senior Federal Travel Help Desk Specialist will assist government and contractor personnel throughout the travel lifecycle, focusing on resolving complex travel issues and offering guidance on authorizations, reservations, and reimbursements, with an initial remote work arrangement transitioning to in-office based on program needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver travel policy and regulatory guidance on NASA directives and federal travel regulations
- Manage help desk operations and provide travel authorization and voucher support
- Assist in process improvement by developing job aids, training materials, and standard operating procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and federal travel experience
- Four or more years of experience supporting federal government travel programs
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Travel Regulation (FTR)
- Experience with NASA travel operations and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and help desk ticketing systems
