Job Summary

Providing expert-level support for NASA's travel programs, the full-time Senior Federal Travel Help Desk Specialist will serve as a primary contact for travel-related inquiries, assist with travel authorizations and vouchers, and ensure compliance with federal regulations while initially working remotely with a transition to in-office work.

Key responsibilities
  • Offer travel policy and regulatory guidance, interpreting NASA directives and federal travel regulations
  • Manage help desk operations, resolving complex travel issues for government and contractor personnel
  • Support travel authorization and voucher processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing assistance with travel documentation
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and federal travel experience
  • Four or more years of experience supporting federal government travel programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and NASA travel operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and help desk ticketing systems
  • Ability to meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC
