Senior Finance Director

Job Summary

To lead all financial operations and planning, the full-time Senior Finance Director will manage the internal finance team, oversee a contracted accounting firm, and support organizational budgeting and cash flow management in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the internal finance team while managing relationships with external accounting services
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and develop multi-year financial forecasts to ensure organizational liquidity
• Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors and provide financial analysis to support major decisions

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience in a senior leadership role, with substantial nonprofit engagement
• At least 3 years of direct supervisory or management experience, including team development
• Solid knowledge of fund accounting principles and nonprofit financial reporting
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Experience with cloud-based financial management systems, particularly Sage Intacct or similar software
