Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary

To support a finance function in transformation, the contract-to-permanent Senior Financial Accountant will manage statutory reporting, oversee audits, and ensure compliance for both Australian and US entities while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of statutory audits and financial statements in compliance with AASB and IFRS
• Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and provide technical accounting guidance within the finance team
• Oversee tax compliance, including income tax returns and payroll obligations across Australia and the US

Required qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is mandatory
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant external audit exposure
• Proven experience in preparing and defending statutory financial statements
• Expertise in Australian tax regulations, with US tax experience preferred
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations
