Senior Financial Aid Advisor

Job Summary

Serving as a subject matter expert and mentor, the full-time Senior Financial Aid Advisor will manage complex student portfolios, ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, and provide expert counseling to drive students' financial success in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in training new Financial Aid Advisors and mentor team members on processes
• Guide students through the financial aid process and create compliant financial plans
• Review and verify student files, ensuring timely aid disbursement and accurate documentation

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or Associate's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or 7+ years of experience in federal and student financial aid
• Experience in financial aid or accounting is required
• Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to financial aid software (Campus Vue/Campus Nexus preferred)
• Willingness to work on the Saturday prior to each start (once every 5 weeks)
• Reliable internet connection is necessary for remote work
