Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Focused on managing software and usage-based spend, the full-time Senior Financial Analyst will develop financial models, oversee vendor relationships, and drive budget accountability while working in a hybrid environment from the Chicago office.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly reporting on software and vendor spend, including trend analysis and cost allocation
• Lead the annual budgeting process for software categories and produce monthly variance analysis
• Identify waste and underutilized licenses, quantifying savings opportunities and tracking realized savings

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical field
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, with exposure to technology or software spend management
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling and experience with billing exports
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for spend reporting and dashboards
