Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary

To support NRG's Market Operations Power & Gas Businesses, the full-time Senior Financial Analyst will create, consolidate, and analyze financial reporting packages, including annual budgets and monthly forecasts, while working in a hybrid environment of remote and onsite collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

• Create and analyze annual budgets and monthly forecasts for market operations
• Prepare monthly variance analyses and investigate discrepancies between actuals and budgets
• Develop and present financial data visualizations for management presentations

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in financial analysis or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUP and SUMIFS functions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex financial issues
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
