Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Focusing on software and usage-based spend management, the full-time salaried Senior Financial Analyst will manage financial reporting, forecasting, and cost optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance budget accountability and reduce waste.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly reporting on software and vendor spend, building dashboards for budget vs. actuals and trend analysis
• Develop financial models for usage-based and subscription spend, leading the annual budgeting process and producing variance analysis
• Proactively identify waste and underutilized licenses, quantifying savings opportunities and tracking realized savings against targets

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical field
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, particularly with technology or software spend management
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling and experience with billing exports and usage-based spend data
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for spend reporting and dashboards
