Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary

To support the financial management of the IT portfolio, the contract Senior Financial Analyst will work primarily remotely with one day per week onsite, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and process improvement across multiple technology programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and monitoring of operating budgets and financial forecasts for assigned IT programs
• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for decision-making
• Serve as the primary financial liaison between executive offices and IT programs, ensuring compliance with federal financial requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted
• A minimum of five years of experience in financial management, budgeting, or financial analysis
• Strong knowledge of governmental budgeting and financial reporting practices
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate financial activities across multiple projects or programs
