Senior Financial Counselor

Job Summary

To support patient financial services, the full-time remote Senior Financial Counselor will develop financial plans for uninsured or under-insured patients, screen for funding resources, and conduct follow-ups on accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct personal interviews with patients to gather demographic and financial information
• Verify insurance coverage and educate patients on funding programs
• Follow up on pending applications to ensure proper account disposition

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and funding resources
• Experience in patient financial counseling or similar roles
• Ability to communicate financial options clearly to patients
