Senior Financial Counselor

Job Summary

To support patients who may be uninsured or under-insured, the full-time remote Senior Financial Counselor will develop financial plans, conduct patient interviews to gather demographic and financial information, and facilitate referrals to funding resources.

Key responsibilities

• Conducts personal interviews with patients to obtain necessary demographic and financial information
• Verifies insurance coverage and educates patients on funding program applications
• Follows up on pending applications to ensure proper account disposition

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
• Intermediate knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
• Experience in conducting patient interviews and financial assessments
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
