Senior Financial Management Consultant

Job Summary

To support a Department of War financial system implementation initiative, the remote Senior Financial Management Consultant will gather and analyze business requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and recommend system-driven improvements while leveraging expertise in federal financial management and DoD operations.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements for financial system enhancements and implementations
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to support implementation activities and validate financial processes
• Develop process flows, requirements documentation, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements

Required qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
• 3-8+ years of Department of War or DoD financial management experience
• Experience supporting financial systems implementations and business process transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of GTAS reporting processes and DFAS financial operations
