Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Summary

To support the Financial Operations team, the full-time Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will manage accounting and reporting activities related to software capitalization, perform technical accounting research, and serve as the primary finance liaison for IT projects while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and reporting activities related to software capitalization, including evaluating project agreements
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare documentation on GAAP and Statutory accounting requirements
• Prepare lease-related journal entries and maintain lease accounting schedules while supporting new lease agreements and modifications

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting, finance, audit, or financial reporting experience
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Experience researching and documenting accounting matters under GAAP and STAT standards
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Lawson and Hyperion is a plus
