Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Summary

Focused on reinsurance accounting and financial analysis for life and annuity products, the full-time Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will manage technical accounting matters, support financial reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally to implement new reinsurance transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support research and documentation of reinsurance accounting under GAAP and statutory frameworks
• Prepare analyses of accounting treatments for complex transactions and lead components of the reinsurance accounting close process
• Drive ad hoc initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new reinsurance arrangements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
• 3+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting for life and annuity insurance
• Proficiency in accounting principles for life insurance and annuity products
• Experience in public accounting, including preparation and audit of financial statements
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, especially during quarter and year-ends
