Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Financial Reporting Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and provide guidance on accounting treatments for various asset types
• Advise on accounting implications of new investments and emerging guidance
• Prepare and present technical memos and documentation related to accounting treatments

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or financial services with investment accounting exposure
• Strong technical accounting background, including US GAAP and NAIC Statutory standards
• Experience with financial statement preparation and technical accounting research
• Proven ability to manage projects related to new accounting standards implementation
