Senior FinOps Engineer

Job Summary

Driving cost optimization and governance, the remote Senior FinOps Engineer will manage cloud environments, develop tagging strategies, and implement financial management tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and right-size VMs to optimize utilization and reduce cloud costs
• Develop and enforce governance policies to control and reduce cloud spending
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline cloud cost management processes

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with involvement in multiple enterprise solution programs
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud technologies, governance, and Microsoft Azure
• 2+ years of dedicated Cloud FinOps expertise
• Demonstrated financial management and cost optimization experience in Microsoft Azure
• Proven ability to identify, implement, and track cost reduction strategies
