Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Senior Fire Protection Engineer will manage and implement diverse fire protection engineering design and consulting projects, focusing on building and fire code consulting and fire system design, with opportunities for remote work arrangements for experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and implement a variety of fire protection engineering design and consulting projects
• Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews, including plan reviews and site visits
• Develop fire protection strategies and performance-based design approaches to resolve client design issues

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in code consulting, fire suppression and alarm systems design, and fire performance-based design
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, preferably in Fire Protection or a related field
• Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent professional designation preferred
• Experience in business development and preparing proposals is preferred
• Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies
