Senior Food Security Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Food Security Specialist to provide strategic leadership and project management support for food security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to update and expand agricultural data for FEWS NET across various countries and crops
• Develop and document sustainable methods for ongoing data management and create guides for data collection and processing
• Collaborate with partners to plan and inform data management activities for specific FEWS NET regions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 13 years of experience or a master's degree with 11 years of experience in a related field
• Deep understanding of agricultural statistics and data sources, particularly in developing countries
• Familiarity with markets and trade data for food security analysis
• Expertise in creating technical specifications for analysis or visualization tools
• Preferred experience with USAID or international development organizations
