Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Passionate about AI and cloud solutions, the full-time Senior Forward Deployed Engineer will engage with strategic customers to evaluate, deploy, and optimize AI workloads on DigitalOcean, serving as a hands-on technical partner in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic pre-sales AI engagements to help customers evaluate DigitalOcean for production AI workloads
• Optimize inference engines and configurations to meet performance targets and improve customer validation processes
• Support customer architecture decisions and remove technical blockers during evaluations and deployments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical role focused on AI infrastructure or model optimization
• Hands-on expertise with inference engines such as vLLM or TensorRT-LLM
• Strong knowledge of inference optimization techniques, including KV cache tuning and quantization
• Experience with post-training workflows like LoRA or RLHF
• Proficiency in Python and experience working in production environments
