Job Summary

To support diverse client needs, the freelance or contract Principal/Senior Forward Deployed Engineer will leverage advanced Cursor AI experience to quickly adapt to various technology stacks and codebases, ensuring productive engagement in remote, hybrid, or on-site settings.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze and refactor codebases using Cursor within diverse client environments
• Implement agent-driven development workflows and generate tests to enhance code quality
• Consult with clients to deliver effective solutions and proofs of concept in unfamiliar systems

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cursor in real projects
• Strong background across multiple technology stacks
• Proven ability to quickly understand and work with unfamiliar codebases
• Experience in client-facing consulting or proof of concept environments
