Senior Foundation Partnerships Manager

Job Summary

To manage and grow strategic partnerships with private foundations and donors that advance educational equity, the full-time Senior Foundation Partnerships Manager will oversee a portfolio of sophisticated relationships, develop compelling funding strategies, and lead cross-functional initiatives while working in a flexible hybrid or fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and cultivate a portfolio of institutional and individual philanthropic relationships, developing long-term strategies for engagement and investment
• Design and implement funding strategies that align with DonorsChoose's mission and philanthropic priorities, including crafting persuasive proposals and reports
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for complex partnerships, coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful execution and stewardship

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in foundation fundraising, philanthropy, or strategic partnerships
• Proven track record of securing and managing complex six- and seven-figure partnerships
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with foundation leaders and individual donors
• Strong strategic thinking abilities to align organizational priorities with funder interests
• Outstanding writing skills for developing compelling proposals and presentations
