Job Summary
Responsible for sourcing transportation providers and managing customer coverage needs, the full-time Senior Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative will develop carrier strategies, engage with cross-functional teams, and ensure effective communication and problem resolution in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage load tenders, appointments, dispatching, and tracking while resolving issues with carriers and customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage for customer freight portfolios
- Oversee day-to-day planning and scheduling of load coverage to meet customer needs within agreed timelines
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the transportation industry
- Working knowledge of transportation modes, services, and basic supply chain functionality
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Access, Excel, and Word
- Understanding of customer products and distribution requirements
