Senior Freight Planner

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Freight Planner to optimize transportation networks and manage carrier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage dispatch and tracking of shipments using Trello
• Build and onboard carrier partners while monitoring their performance
• Conduct analysis to identify freight savings opportunities and resolve issues swiftly

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in freight planning or logistics
• Experience with freight brokers or Third-Party Logistics providers preferred
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably MercuryGate
• Strong knowledge of lane rating methodologies and freight forecasting
• Understanding of various transportation modes and their market dynamics
