Senior Fuel Handling Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Fuel Handling Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design nuclear in-vessel fuel handling systems and equipment from initial requirements to final design
• Manage systems and component-level requirements, ensuring traceability and implementation within the configuration control system
• Collaborate with the design team to create and manage comprehensive drawing packages, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM discipline preferred
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the design of complex mechanical systems, preferably with nuclear technology
• Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section III or Section VIII code is desired
• Experience with quality standards in design and procurement activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001, is preferred
