Senior Full Stack Engineer

Job Summary

To support a federal government client in modernizing critical mission systems for DHS ICE, the full-time remote Senior Full Stack Engineer will own full stack delivery, focusing on translating complex legacy system behavior into clean, scalable software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications for DHS ICE system modernization
• Analyze legacy systems to identify core functionality and streamline operational workflows
• Translate operational requirements into modern application designs, including backend services and user-facing components

Required qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience
• Strong experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, as well as front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases
