Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the ControlCheck team in a full-time remote capacity, where the engineer will design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability of healthcare data products.

Key responsibilities:

• Build web services using Ruby on Rails and Python FastAPI while deploying work via Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to deployment and monitoring
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews and testing
• Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code for deployment
• Demonstrated expertise in writing comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Strong understanding of relational SQL database systems, particularly MySQL
