Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading complex development efforts for web-based applications, the full-time Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer will design and improve scalable, secure software systems using Ruby on Rails in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance software systems that support social service reporting and analysis
- Lead design discussions and provide architectural guidance while conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions and participate in incident response for system reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5-8 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, specifically with Ruby on Rails
- Familiarity with Hotwire, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, RSpec, and FactoryBot
- Advanced experience with Git, SQL optimization, and data modeling
- Experience designing APIs and working in Agile development environments
