Senior Functional Analyst
Job Summary
Leading the capture of business requirements for software development teams, the full-time Senior Functional Analyst will collaborate with business users and IT to document requirements, manage Agile processes, and facilitate communication among stakeholders in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage requirements in an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool, specifically JIRA, and perform Agile requirement management activities
- Conduct user interviews and facilitate sessions to gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements
- Lead and mentor junior analysts while developing and maintaining project/product backlogs and ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline
- 10 years of professional experience in software development and Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
- Strong expertise with JIRA tools and experience in large Agile software development projects
- U.S. Citizenship required, with eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
- Desired experience includes working knowledge of VA's Veterans Independence Program and healthcare billing applications
