Senior Fund Controller

Job Summary

Serving as a primary accounting authority for complex venture fund structures, the full-time Senior Fund Controller will manage accounting standards, oversee financial integrity, and lead a team while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own accounting standards and serve as the final escalation point for complex accounting questions across supported venture funds
• Review and approve financial outputs requiring accounting judgment, ensuring technically sound reporting
• Guide Senior Fund Accountants in applying standards and resolving complex issues, while partnering with Product and Engineering to inform scalable accounting workflows

Required qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration, particularly with venture capital or private equity
• Demonstrated experience with European and American waterfalls, capital calls, carry modeling, and ASC 820 fair value considerations
• Proven ability to make and defend accounting judgment calls in complex, multi-fund environments
• Experience interfacing directly with General Partners or fund principals, with strong communication skills
• Experience partnering with Product or Engineering teams to translate accounting requirements into scalable systems
