Senior GCP Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing infrastructure team, the full-time Senior GCP Platform Engineer will take ownership of complex cloud infrastructure solutions, leading the design, implementation, and management of GCP-based platforms while collaborating with developers, operations, and security teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage GKE infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and containerization services
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform for automation of infrastructure provisioning
- Develop comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using GCP tools to proactively identify and troubleshoot platform issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years focused on GCP
- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale cloud infrastructure on GCP
- Strong experience with container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE)
- In-depth knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Networking
